Our Mission
At Derusha House of Comfort, our mission is simple yet sacred:
To create safe spaces of comfort, compassion, and connection for those in spiritual, emotional, or physical distress especially the often-forgotten.
Rooted in faith and led by love, we serve individuals and families through two key ministry branches:
The Comfort Branch
Providing spiritual care and emotional support to individuals in hospice care, hospitals, and home bound environments. We believe in the dignity of every life, especially during vulnerable transitions. Through prayer, presence, and personalized care, we bring peace where pain may dwell.
- Hospital & Hospice Visits
- End-of-Life Ministry
- Comfort Cards & Care Kits
- Spiritual Counseling & Prayer
The Outreach Branch
Meeting people where they are physically and spiritually. Our outreach programs bring faith, food, and friendship into the community through events, conversations, and compassionate service.
- Community Outreach & Prayer Walks
- Family “Heart Space” Gatherings
- Volunteer Drives & Resource Sharing
- Encouragement Pop-Ups & Comfort Missions
Why We Serve
We are called to be a city not forsaken to go where others won’t, to love when others can’t, and to reflect the unconditional grace of God to the weary, the wounded, and the waiting. Every act of ministry is an invitation for someone to encounter hope.
Let’s Build Together
Our mission is a movement one comforted soul at a time. Whether you’re called to give, serve, or simply sit beside someone in need, your presence matters.
