Comfort Branch

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” – Matthew 5:4

At the heart of Derusha House of Comfort is the Comfort Branch — a sacred space devoted to emotional, spiritual, and relational healing. Whether you’re walking through grief, facing uncertainty, or simply need a safe space to breathe, this ministry exists to remind you: you are not alone.

What We Offer:

Hospital & Hospice Ministry

Extending Comfort, Presence & Prayer at the Bedside of the Suffering

In moments when words fail and the weight of suffering feels unbearable, the Derusha House of Comfort steps in with quiet compassion and sacred presence.

Our Hospital & Hospice Ministry is devoted to walking alongside patients, families, and care teams during some of life’s most vulnerable transitions whether in the final chapters of life, during recovery, or amidst medical uncertainty.

We serve with love across various settings, including:

  • Hospice centers and palliative care homes
  • Maternity and neonatal intensive care units (NICU)

Baby Rockers for the NICU

In partnership with hospital chaplaincy and volunteer services, we offer a NICU Baby Rocking Ministry where trained, background-checked volunteers hold, rock, and soothe medically fragile newborns in neonatal intensive care.

These sacred moments of touch, warmth, and whisper-soft lullabies remind us that every life, no matter how tiny or vulnerable is deeply beloved and never alone.

Whether it’s cradling a newborn or holding the hand of a patient in hospice, we come not to fix, but to be there, to share silence, prayer, tears, and the deep peace of God’s presence.
